THE CURATORS OF
THE CHURCH OF SCIO-BUDDHISM

The Curators of the Church of Scio-Buddhism shall consist of those Clergy persons selected to administer the temporalities of the Church and supervise the general body of the Clergy. Curators shall be appointed or removed by the of the Prime Curator of the Church of Scio-Buddhism or by the Founder of the Church of Scio-Buddhism.

THE FOUNDER AND THE PRIME CURATOR

The Founder of the Church of Scio-Buddhism is the person who discovered Scio-Buddhism in the course of the development of Scionics Philosophy.

The Prime Curator acts as the chief executive of the Church of Scio-Buddhism. In this capacity, the Prime Curator co-ordinates the Church-related activities of the other Curators, Clergy and Members of the Church.

The Authority of the Founder of the Church of Scio-Buddhism is:

  • the Authority to create and modify the Doctrinal Statement of the Church of Scio-Buddhism;

  • the Authority to appoint persons to and remove persons from the of the Prime Curator of the Church of Scio-Buddhism, and

  • the Authority to supersede the Authority of the Prime Curator, or any other Curator, Clergy Person, or Member of the Church of Scio-Buddhism, with regard to activities related to the Church.

The Founder and the Prime Curator of the Church of Scio-Buddhism each have the Authority to appoint persons to and remove persons from

  • the Ordained Clergy of the Church of Scio-Buddhism;

  • the Curators of the Church of Scio-Buddhism;

  • the Membership of the Church of Scio-Buddhism; and

  • any other Official Church Organizations.

While the Founder of the Church of Scio-Buddhism is alive, the Authority of the Founder shall remain vested in the Founder. Upon the death of the Founder, the Authority of the Founder shall be vested in the of the Prime Curator of the Church of Scio-Buddhism. Any Prime Curator who is vested with the Authority of the Founder may resign by appointing a new Prime Curator, who shall then have the full Authority of the Founder.

Upon the death or other vacancy of the Prime Curator, the Founder (if alive) shall appoint a new Prime Curator. A Prime Curator may leave a Will of Appointment specifying the person who will be appointed as the heir or successor to the of the Prime Curator upon his or her death, provided the Founder is not alive to make such appointment.

If the actual Founder is dead and the Prime Curator dies or otherwise vacates the of the Prime Curator without leaving a Will of Appointment, then a limited Authority of the Founder shall be temporarily vested in the Curators in order to appoint, by majority vote, a new Prime Curator, who then shall be vested with the full Authority of the Founder.

If the actual Founder is dead and the Prime Curator dies or otherwise vacates the of the Prime Curator without leaving a Will of Appointment, and there are no other Curators, then a limited Authority of the Founder shall be temporarily vested in the Clergy of the Church of Scio-Buddhism in order to appoint, by majority vote, a new Prime Curator, who then shall be vested with the full Authority of the Founder.

If the Founder is not alive and is subsequently revived, resurrected or restored to life then the Authority of the Founder shall immediately revert back to and be vested in the Founder.
