THE ORDAINED CLERGY OF
THE CHURCH OF SCIO-BUDDHISM

There are two requirements for one to become Ordained in the Church of Scio-Buddhism:

  1. One must solemnly pledge to live by the One Sacred Law of Scio-Buddhism: "LIVE AND LET LIVE!" (This is required of all Members of the Church, Laity and Clergy alike.)

  2. The Ordained Clergy of the Church of Scio-Buddhism must additionally pledge acceptance of the validity of Science recognition that Faith and Philosophy must be consistent with Scientific Knowledge.

Ordainment in the Church is usually for life, although Ordainment may be revoked by an Order of the of the Prime Curator of the Church of Scio-Buddhism or by an Order of the Founder of the Church of Scio-Buddhism.

The Ordained Clergy of the Church of Scio-Buddhism shall have the ecclesiastic authority to Officiate and Preside over all Officially Recognized Church Ceremonies. They may also perform the ceremonies of all other Faiths and Philosophies, provided such ceremonies do not violate the One Sacred Law: "LIVE AND LET LIVE!"

The Ordained Clergy may provide Spiritual and Philosophical Counseling and Therapy and shall have the Right of Privileged Communication in this context.
