AFFIRMATION OF ORDINATION

The Affirmation of Ordination is conducted when accepting new Ordained Clergy Persons into the Church, or as a means for re-affirming the Ordination of existing Ordained Clergy Persons. First the Officiant performs the Affirmation of Faith, above, followed by the lines, below:

Officiant: I now call upon all present who are or who wish to become Ordained Clergy Persons in the Church of Scio-Buddhism to please repeat after me:

I believe in the validity of Science, and recognize that Faith and Philosophy must be consistent with scientific knowledge.

Officiant: You have taken a solemn pledge to live by the One Sacred Law: "LIVE AND LET LIVE!" You have also pledged your belief in the validity of Science, and recognize that Faith and Philosophy must be consistent with scientific knowledge. You have thereby Affirmed the Faith necessary for Ordination as (an) Ordained Clergy Person(s) in the Church of Scio-Buddhism. (The Officiant may mention that one can get officially registered as an Ordained Clergy Person at the official Church Website, https://Scio-Buddhism.com.)
